Currently Owner of Williams Talent Managment, Managing Partner of Connect Global, LLC alongside his partner, Henry Butler and Leah Daniels-Butler. Larry O. Williams (Jr.) was born in the Entertainment business. The son of a world-class saxophonist, he started his professional acting career at the age of 6. By the age of 17, Larry had gathered over 45 television credits, was considered for an Emmy, starred in dozens of television shows and starred in an Emmy winning television special. Even with such success and strong industry relationships, Larry chose to receive his education first. He left the secure confines of Hollywood for the prestige of attending the University of San Diego on a full baseball scholarship. After 4 consecutive All-Conference record setting seasons and 2 All American honors, Larry completed his undergraduate studies and turned down a professional baseball career to pursue his love. Having been nurtured by such Executives as Topper Carew and Stan Lathan, Larry expanded his involvement in Hollywood to include writing, producing and acting. In spite of his successes, Larry answered a higher call to maximize his skill sets at the world renown William Morris Talent Agency. At William Morris, Larry was impregnated with the idea of creating Williams Talent Agency, LLC. Focusing on Talent & Television packaging, Larry worked for several key executives, including the President of World Wide Network Packaging, the Vice President of Motion Picture Literary, a V.P. of Talent, & the Vice President in Television Syndication. After 3 years of intense training, Larry was promoted to Agent but chose Management as a better platform to achieve complete diversification. On a referral, Larry was led to Erving Wonder /Sanctuary Management. As a manager and under the supervision of Troy Carter (Lady Gaga) and Matthew Knowles (Beyonce/Destiny's Child), Larry had consistent success assisting in the careers of such industry vets as Eve, Angie Stone, Floetry, Jadakiss and Actors Leila Arcieri ("Manchurian Candidate") and Idris Alba. After just 1 year, Larry left Erving Wonder / Sanctuary Management to start his own indie shingle -LAROWIL ENTERTAINMENT, the umbrella company for Williams Talent Agency. Within 2 years, Williams Talent Agency was no longer a thought but a reality. Larry was Owner of the largest minority owned full-service Talent Agency in the world! Since its inception, Williams Talent Agency represented some of the most highly regarded talent in the business today. Including but not limited to: the Producer of Def Comedy Jam and BET's comedy show One Mic, 1 Academy Award Winner, 1 Golden Globe winner, 2 Emmy Winners, 2 Ovation Award Winners, 3 NAACP Award Winners, 5 Broadway performers, 1 Tony nominee, 1 Stella Award winner and 7 platinum selling performers! Pennsylvania-born Larry Williams (born Lawrence E. Williams) was a photographer who became a cameraman with the Thanhouser Company. It's not known exactly when he started with them--cameramen were rarely if ever mentioned in a film's credits--but it's known that he was there as early as 1912. He was the first cameraman--in 1914--to use a stereoscopic camera system (invented by actor Gerald Badgley), which he installed in a Pathe camera and used in a Mary Pickford production. In 1915 he worked for Famous Players, but returned to Thanhouser in that same year. However, the next year he left Thanhouser to work for Box Office Attractions (later to become Fox Films, which itself became 20th Century-Fox), only to return to Thanhouser again. In April of that year his brother, Famous Players cinematographer Emmett A. Williams--with whom he had worked on Mary Pickford's film Rags (1915)--died and Larry left Thanhouser to take his brother's place at Famous Players. While at Famous Players he photographed such films as Little Lady Eileen (1916) and The Traveling Salesman (1916). He later worked for Artcraft Pictures, for whom he photographed Broadway Jones (1917).
He stayed active in the film industry until shortly before his death on March 30, 1956, in Hollywood, California.- Larry Williams is known for Mythscape: Remembering the End of the World (1996).
